Impulse Control (Or Something Like It)

Since starting this Substack, I have realized that posting on Beau Monde has been the perfect way to satisfy my shopping itch. It's almost like I get the same dopamine hit from sharing the pieces I love as I do from actually buying them.
Well… almost. That is, until I actually hit purchase. As I mentioned in last week’s post, the promise of summer got to me, and I ended up clicking that "place order" button a little more than I’d originally intended. Do I think I nailed it with my purchases? Absolutely. Am I trying to rein it in before my shopping spree gets out of hand? Also yes.
So, in an effort to get back to using these posts to regulate my serotonin, here are a few more things I’m loving this week:
